Getting to know Jen
Jennifer Reso has had many roles and titles, but one thing stays the same: she enjoys helping people.
Jennifer has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Community Counseling. She has worked as a counselor, teacher, nanny, consultant, and life coach over the last 15+ years. Jen has been employed at mental health hospitals, at outpatient counseling clinics, and by individuals and with families as a consultant, counselor, and life coach. Jen has led hundreds of counseling and education groups, worked with individuals and families to provide insight, empathy and compassion while helping each client reach their goals.
Together with Jen, each client will learn how to identify stressors, build on their strengths, set smart goals, build support, and help people achieve their "best life." She firmly wants to help the people who suffer in silence by listening, empathizing, caring, validating their emotions and experiences, and brainstorming new ideas to overcome any obstacles.
Jen tends to "think outside the box." She uses humor as a tool. Jen enjoys discovering each client's strengths and develops plans to help them achieve their goals in life. She believes that today is a always a good day to start making changes and doesn't give up when things get tough!
Jen has worked with: clients dealing with stressors of aging parents, clients struggling with their career or personal goals, families coping with hoarding behaviors, clients and families who suffer from chronic diseases/allergies and mental health disorders such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disorders, etc. Jen has coached clients in the workforce who were dealing with dysfunctional work settings and helped them develop self-advocacy skills. As a consultant she has assisted clients with life transitions, family stressors, coping with COVID-19 and other medical conditions.
As for her personal life, Jen loves singing, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. Jen has personal experience with chronic allergies and advocates for understanding and compassion regarding any chronic condition.
